Former James Bond star Roger Moore — who portrayed the agent from 1973 to 1985 —  has recently voiced his opinion on the latest addition to the Bond family, Daniel Craig. As written in Moore’s book Bond on Bond, “I loved Casino Royale and Daniel Craig. He is a wonderful actor, certainly the best actor to play Bond.” A very high commendation coming from a fellow Bond, Craig has surpassed the likes of Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan in Moore’s mind to earn to coveted title.

Looking back on his own years as Bond, Moore reminisced, “Back then I could leap out of a chair without fear of my knees cracking; could chew a toffee without fear of losing a tooth; could admire my flowing locks and my bronzed, slim torso. With a twitch of the old eyebrow I set pulses racing across the world, they say,” adding,”These days it’s my pacemaker that keeps my pulse racing.” As far as Moore’s views on Skyfall go, the 84-year-old actor has stated, “I believe that Skyfall is going to have a lot more humor in it than Quantum of Solace did, something I’ll be pleased to see.”

The latest Bond film, Skyfall, will not be Craig’s first crack at Bond — he starred in 2006’s Casino Royale and 2008’s Quantum of Solace. Much to Moore’s delight, it will not be Craig’s last either. He is also set to appear in the next Bond film, the 24th installment in the series. ~Morgan Bates
