Actor Daniel Craig paid a surprise visit to UK troops in Afghanistan at Camp Bastion to introduce his recent James Bond film, Skyfall. The actor accompanied 800 soldiers as they sat down and watched the film on Sunday. Craig was given a tour of the camp and took a ride in a Foxhound vehicle. Warrant Officer Rob Ingham  said, “We get quite a lot of visitors here, but having James Bond was special. He seemed to be pretty comfortable in the driving seat!” Craig was also given machine guns to fire, and had the opportunity to visit patients and staff at the Bastion Role 3 Hospital. Private Scott Craggs, a medical technician at the hospital, said: “It was really good morale for everyone – it’s a decent thing for him to take time to come out and visit everyone here.” According to The Daily Mail, the troop members decided Skyfall is the best Bond film. Sergeant Dave Hammond added, “It was like a return to the old James Bonds. There was a bit of humor and some spectacular effects. It was great to be able to see the film here and to have James Bond himself to introduce it, it was brilliant!”~Luxy Hariharan
