On October 1st, London artist James Hart Dyke’s original painting Everything or Nothing- 50 Years of Bond was released in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the James Bond series, which began in 1962 with Dr. No. In 2009, Dyke was hired on by the British Secret Intelligence Service to create a series of works that would commemorate the centenary of the agency Bond creator Ian Fleming used as a basis for his books, which would spawn the second highest grossing film franchise of all time. It was these paintings Dyke created in his commemorative exhibition “A Year with M16” that gained the attention of Bond producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson, who would later ask Dyke to work on this tribute painting. In Everything or Nothing, Dyke re-imagines the iconic Bond posters of the ’60s and ’70s and the result is this striking, yet nostalgic painting  which showcases all those who have ever played Bond in the collection. ~ Brandon Bastaldo
