Synopsis

Beatriz (Salma Hayek), an immigrant from a poor town in Mexico, has drawn on her innate kindness to build a career as a health practitioner in Southern California. • 1 star "Horrible movie! And the ending was so disturbing, really poor script and storyline. I don't know what the writer was thinking here. I gave it 1 star only because I had to."
  • 4 stars "Not a comedy (as suggested). Painful, somewhat brutal, and a good look at the world we live in -- with 2 possible endings offered, both arising out of pain. (There are other options, though they're not explored here.)"
  • 2 stars "I am not a big fan of action movies but this one was way too much yakkity yak and not enough actual plot. Singularly unsatisfying!"
