After failing a routine training exercise, M (Edward Fox) orders James Bond (Sean Connery) to enroll in a health clinic, where he happens upon a sinister plot: a man, undergoing an operation to make his right eye match the retinal patterns of the President of the United States. The man then uses his newfound security accessibility to steal nuclear warheads from the government for the criminal organization known as SPECTRE.
Upon discovery of this, MI6 enlists Bond to find and recover the warheads before SPECTRE can go through with their plan of extorting billions of dollars from NATO governments. His mission will have him working alongside Domino Petachi (Kim Basinger) and his CIA counterpart, Felix Leiter (Bernie Casey), in order to take down SPECTRE and the nefarious, sadomasochistic Fatima Blush (Barbara Carrera) before their plan comes to fruition—or they detonate the bombs.
